Brody Drops the Cord

Brody finally dropped what was left of his umbilical cord while he was trying to pick up his first chick. Piper was overheard telling Brody "you are too young for me, I don't date guys that still have their umbilical cords attached." Minutes later the umbilical cord was gone.

Brody Gets Tummy Time

Brody gets his all important Tummy Time. This gives him good exercise to help him learn to push himself up and eventually to crawl (hopefully not too soon, that is when all hell breaks loose).

Daddy's #1 Fan

Brody is still in the party all night and sleep all day mode.  One thing that we have discovered is that he is the one and only fan of his daddy's singing voice.  From Led Zeppelin to Dave Matthews Band, the one sure way to calm him down is to hear me sing to him.  Let's hope this ends soon.  I don't think Laura can take it anymore.

Sleeping Brody

Brody catching some zzz. Brody is sleeping well, but at night he tends to require a little cuddling with Mommy.

I wish I had invented the Swaddle Me. It really helps to keep Brody calm and feeling like he is back in Mommy's tummy. I would highly recommend it.

Brody also loves to sleep in his car seat, especially when he is listening to Cinemagic on XM Radio.

Brody in his bassinet

This is Brody in his bassinet right after we came home from the hospital. It is great to finally be home.

We spent a little bit more time in the hospital than we expected due to Laura's recovery from her c-section. Both Laura and Brody are doing very well. A special thanks goes to the terrific nursing staff at Holy Cross Hospital and Dr. Joyner for helping so much with the recovery.

Rockabye Baby!

Brody really enjoys Lullaby Led Zeppelin. Check out Rockabye Baby! and you will be amazed. It is quite a bit better than listening to crummy baby music. There are many different bands available. From The Beatles to Metallica to Bob Marley, the range of music is great. The best part is that it is all on iTunes.

Brody With Friends & Family

Brody With Friends & Family

Brody has been blessed with many wonderful visitors these last few days. He is one lucky boy!

Urban Meyer

Urban Meyer called this afternoon and offered Brody a scholarship. Unfortunately, Laura hung up on him. She is holding out hope that Bobby Bowden will still be coaching up at FSU in 18 years.
