Brody Telling a Story

Brody is getting bigger everyday. Crazy how fast they grow. He rolled over for the first time the other day at his Mommy & Baby yoga class. He has been sleeping about 8 hours a night since we moved him into his crib last week. The transition has been pretty smooth so far. Below is a cute video of Brody after he woke up this morning.

Five Generations

Brody recently went up to visit his Great-Great-Grandmother in Cocoa Beach. She is 102 years old. The picture below shows 5 generations. Did you ever get to meet your Great-Great-Grandmother?

8 Weeks

Brody is 8 weeks old today.
He is 12 lbs 4 oz and 23 1/2 inches short.
That puts him almost exactly in the 50th percentile for both height and weight.

He received his first round of shots today (poor guy). He is taking it like a man though. I wonder if A-Rod cried when he was getting his shots?

He is sleeping in 4 hour stretches at night only waking up to drink some of mommy's milk.

We enjoy watching him smile as every parent does. In the morning, it is great to bring him into the bed with us and he just looks around at both of us full of life.

Road Trip

Yesterday, Brody went on his first road trip with Mommy and Grandpa to visit his Great Grandparents! First, they went to see Great Grandpa Melnicoff and Cathy in Daytona. Great Grandpa Melnicoff has now seen seven generations of his family which is pretty remarkable. Then, the crew went on to visit Brody's Great Grandma and Grandpa Sheffer in Cocoa Beach. The plan is to go back up and see his Great Great Grandma (who will be 102 years old in a few weeks) on the next visit to Cocoa Beach. Brody is lucky to have such a great family.

Six Weeks of Brody

Time really flies. I can't believe that Brody is six weeks old. I know it doesn't sound like much, but I don't know where all those days went. He has gotten into a pretty good sleeping schedule of waking up once in the middle of the night for a feeding with mommy. He is also a pretty good trooper when it comes to bath time.
