Halloween 2014

The boys were Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for Halloween. We had a great time trick-or-treating near Coral Ridge Country Club with Jack, James, and Haley. The residents go all out. One has a carnival game attraction and gives away tons of prizes. Another has a yellow brick road setup. It was a real treat.

Trip to Clearwater and Legoland

We had a great trip to Clearwater to see the Kroski family. Kelle's parents are such gracious hosts when we visit. They watched the kids while Laura went out with Kelle and her friends and I went out with Bill and the guys. The kids get along really well and had a fun movie night slumber party in the living room.

On the way back home, we went to Legoland in Winter Haven. We had a great time. The boys had their park maps and were ready to explore. There were some great rides for kids and a ton of great Lego architectural models.

Brody and Chase Sleepover

Brody and Chase like to have sleepovers on the weekends. Chase sleeps in Brody's room. It is kind of special for them. Not as special for us because that means they wake up earlier and goof off in the morning. I've also included some other pictures of the boys sleeping in goofy positions. The one with the boys on the couch is what we came home to when Grandma was babysitting. :-)

School Starts

This week Brody started Kindergarten and Chase started Pre-K3. It's very convenient now that they are going to the same school. It is a full-day elementary school so the 3 year olds are treated the same as the 5th graders. This can be a big adjustment for some kids, but hopefully Chase will do well since he has been in school since he was one. Chase was pretty excited to drop off his supplies at the Pre-K orientation.

Trip to Philadelphia

Our family vacation this summer was to Philadelphia for George and Suzanne's Wedding. We had an awesome trip! We were blown away at how nice the Center City portion of Philly was. We had a great stay in the Embassy Suites, which was very close to all the fun museums. We had a great time at the Franklin Institute. There is so much to see there, we couldn't do everything in the few hours we had. I loved the train room that told the history of the steam engine in the United States. I also enjoyed the satellite display that showed how far away the satellites orbit earth. The best part was the planetarium show, To Space & Back. We also enjoyed a Phillies game with Big Uncle Jack. Taking the train to the game was very convenient. The rehearsal dinner at Top of the Tower was amazing. What a great New York strip steak that was! Not to mention George hooked it up with a top quality IPA at the bar. The wedding was the topping on the cake. There was an incredible cocktail hour with a million different appetizers. The DJ was great and the steak dinner was terrific. What a cool venue. We can't say enough how great our trip was from Philly. The boys talk about how much they love Philly all the time. They can't wait to go back! Who would have thought Philly would be this awesome, since my only experience there was getting ripped off on tickets to a Phillies game at the Vet during my road trip with Bill.
