Chase came home Thursday evening and we have now officially started life as a family of four. We have all made the adjustment well, especially Brody. He is constantly asking what Chase is doing and always wants to hold him. While Laura was getting ready to feed Chase the other day, Brody waved to her and said "Good bye, Mommy. Brody feeds Chase."
Chase is starting to get used to the idea that he is supposed to stay awake during the day and sleep at night. He still has a long way to go though. Feedings with Mom have gotten off to a great start so that helps with the sleeping.
These are a few of the pictures from the hospital photo shoot.
And here is Brody with his little brother, Chase.

Brody's New Bedroom
This past week, Brody made the switch to his new bedroom in preparation for the arrival of Chase. I am usually the one that handles Brody's bedtime routine, so I decided to try to make the switch on Tuesday night when Laura was out with her friends; however, it didn't go as I had imagined. Brody immediately said "No Thomas bed" and jumped out of the bed, followed me out the door, ran to the other side of the apartment and jumped in our bed. I realized that maybe I shouldn't do this on my own and put him in the crib.
Two nights later (May 12th), Laura worked her magic and was stern while telling him he is to stay in his room until the morning. Then she told him he could watch Thomas and Friends on TV in the morning if all went well. He stayed in his room all night and was very proud of himself in the morning. It has been a smooth transition ever since without any hiccups. He has even done well with his naps in his new bed.

The Breakers
We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Chase. He will be here before you know it. This past weekend we had one last mini-vacation as a family of three and it was nothing short of amazing! Laura's friend, Gina, gave us two nights at The Breakers and let me tell you it was SPECTACULAR! We were surprised at how kid-friendly it was. The resort has a really cool kid's playground, a family entertainment center with an almost unlimited amount of toys and games, and a separate kid's pool area. If you haven't been to Palm Beach, it really does feel like another world. We probably never envisioned spending the weekend at The Breakers, but if you can afford it, we would highly recommend it!
