1889 - The Coca Cola Company, then known as the Pemberton Medicine Company, is originally incorporated in Atlanta, Georgia.
1892 - Dr. James Naismith publishes The Original Rules of Basketball in the Springfield College newspaper, The Triangle.
1967 - Super Bowl I is played in Los Angeles, California. The Green Bay Packers defeated the Kansas City Chiefs 35-10 in what was originally called The First AFL-NFL World Championship Game.
